Who Is This Program For?
The program is designed for young women who want to grow in confidence, communication, leadership, service, and scholarship while representing their community with purpose.
Future Leaders
Candidates who want to build confidence, develop communication skills, and grow as leaders in their school, workplace, or community.
Service-Minded Participants
Young women who care about a cause, want to serve others, or hope to create positive impact through a Community Service Initiative.
Scholarship Seekers
Participants interested in educational opportunities, personal growth, interview preparation, and scholarship support.
Miss & Teen Divisions
Miss Lewis County and Miss Lewis County’s Teen are separate divisions with different age guidelines, expectations, and state competition pathways. Current eligibility should always be confirmed with the program before applying.
Miss Lewis County
The Miss division focuses on scholarship, leadership, talent, interview skills, service, and preparation to represent Lewis County at Miss Washington.
Miss Lewis County’s Teen
The Teen division helps younger participants build confidence, communication, mentorship, service experience, and readiness for Miss Washington’s Teen.

Competition Phases
Competition phases may vary by year and division based on Miss America and Miss Washington guidelines, but candidates can generally expect preparation in these core areas.
Private Interview
Candidates practice professional communication, personal presentation, current events awareness, and thoughtful self-expression.
Talent
Talent gives candidates the opportunity to share a skill, performance, or creative strength with the audience and judges.
Health & Fitness
This phase reflects confidence, wellness, stage presence, and personal commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
Evening Wear
Evening wear highlights poise, confidence, presence, and how a candidate carries herself with professionalism.
On-Stage Question
Candidates answer a question in front of the audience, practicing clarity, composure, and communication under pressure.
Community Service Initiative
Each candidate develops or shares a cause they care about and explains how they hope to make a difference.
What Candidates Gain

Interview Confidence
